Fayetteville, AR – Legendary blues artist B.B. King is on tour and making a stop at Fayetteville’s Drake Field on October 4, 2002. Kenny Wayne Shepherd, the Fabulous Thunderbirds and opening act Shane Henry will join the King of Blues.  

B.B. King has performed for more than 50 years and has released over 50 albums, many of which are considered blues classics. King has received numerous awards and remains one of the most recognized names in the blues industry.  

Kenny Wayne Shepherd will be a highly anticipated part of the tour. Since taking the stage at the early age of 13, Shepherd has helped to create a new generation of blues lovers. He has performed with the Rolling Stones, the Eagles, Van Halen, Aerosmith, and Bob Dylan.

The Fabulous Thunderbirds have recorded over nine albums and have had numerous top-40 hits including “Tuff Enuff” in the mid-1980’s. Affectionately known as the T-Birds, the band received the W.C. Handy Award for the best blues band in 1986.
